Designed for players who love the sound of classic 60s British amplifiers pushed to their limits, AC MASTER offers immediate access to the iconic tones associated with players like Brian May and Rory Gallagher, while also covering a wide range of modern drive and boost applications.

Used independently or stacked together, the two sections provide everything from sparkling edge-of-breakup tones, sweet singing overdrive, to aggressive classic rock saturation.

AC MASTER’s VOX (AC) section is a VOX-inspired overdrive based on the legendary AC30 three-channel Top Boost amplifiers of the 1960s (Normal-Top Boost-Tremolo).

Just like the original amplifiers when jumpered, AC MASTER allows you to blend the Normal and Top Boost channels, recreating the complex harmonic character that made these amps famous and heard on countless recordings.

The AC section is designed to handle overdrive and boost pedals exceptionally well. Its circuit structure allows it to accept boosted or overdriven signals without collapsing or becoming muddy, maintaining clarity and harmonic richness even when pushed by other gain stages.
When driven by external pedals, the circuit delivers dynamic compression, enhanced sustain, and complex harmonic saturation, closely resembling the behavior of a cranked vintage British amplifier.

The Range Master (MASTER) section is a booster inspired by the legendary one-knob Range Master treble booster, one of the most important circuits in the history of British guitar tone.
With respect to the original design, we have introduced two additional controls, a Volume control and a 3-way frequency rotary switch, allowing precise tonal shaping and optimal matching between the two circuits and other pedals.

The RANGE control (frequency rotary switch) adjusts the input filtering of the circuit, offering three tonal characters:
•Treble (left position) classic Range Master style boost
•Mid (middle position) focused midrange push ideal for solos
•Bass (right position) fuller response for thicker drive tones

While vintage units used germanium transistors, AC MASTER uses a carefully selected silicon transistor that reproduces the dynamic response and musical character of germanium while offering greater stability, reliability, and consistency.
